21st ICSMGE Conference

Jinhyun attended the 21st International Conference on Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering (ICSMGE) in Vienna, Austria. As a Core Member of ISSMGE TC105 Geomechanics, he co-chaired a special workshop entitled “Geomechanics from Micro to Engineering” with Prof. Catherine O’Sullivan from Imperial College London. The workshop featured four excellent presentations and a lively discussion. He also attended the meetings of TC103 Numerical Methods and TC105 Geomechanics, as well as the editorial board meeting of Computers and Geotechnics. Beyond the technical sessions, it was wonderful to catch up with old friends and colleagues, and to meet new ones from around the world. Overall, it was a fruitful and enjoyable conference!
