Visit of Professor Peter Kang

It was a pleasure to welcome Professor Peter K. Kang from the University of Minnesota to Seoul National University in July!

We are excited to begin a new collaboration through the UMN–SNU Partnership Research Seed Grant on our joint project, “Coupled Reactive Transport and Geomechanics for Subsurface Water and Energy Systems.” Bringing together our complementary expertise in reactive transport and computational geomechanics, we aim to better understand coupled processes in subsurface systems. During Prof. Kang’s visit, we kicked off the project with a joint workshop, sharing our research, exchanging ideas, and discussing directions for our work together.

We are grateful for this wonderful opportunity and look forward to an exciting and fruitful partnership between UMN and SNU!
